Welcome!

A rotating image showing various pictures from the observatory: the observatory building, a historic telescope, a photo of the Moon, and a modern telescope.

The Bucknell Observatory will be holding public observing nights and observatory tours once a month. The Physics and Astronomy department at Bucknell invite the community to join us at the on-campus observatory for tours, telescope viewings, and night sky presentations.

Visitors are encouraged to sign-up to guarantee space at one of our public nights. Public nights will occur once a month during the school year (September through April), if weather permits. The event dates are listed on the Sign-Up page.

To learn about other astronomy events at locations around campus and the community, please check out the Night Sky Events blog. Please note that some events listed there are open to the wider community, and some are for Bucknell community only.

We look forward to seeing you!
